Soul Has No Tempo Radio 11 - 1st December 2016

Kicking the mix off with afro/jazz vibes courtesy of The KutiMangoes and Takuya Kuroda, plus a brand new one from broken beat/nu jazz royalty, Kaidi Kat. There's a hot stepper from Nomumbah on Yoruba and some boogie fire from Amp Fiddler's new album, Motor City Booty. Tenderlonious is back with some flute laced funk on 22a and fellow Peckham music maker, Henry Wu joins Cologne's Tito Wun on a trademark, South London groove. There's a BRUK Jay Daniel riddim, an amazing cut from iZem's debut on Soundway, and we've got the hip-hop heads covered with new ATCQ, Australia's own, Remi and a neck snapper from Common's latest album, Black America Again. LA's Josef Leimberg and Terrace Martin join forces on a bad-ass Miles Davis cover, Erykah Badu's band, RC & the Gritz come with the stank groove and there's more jazz niceness from Azymuth, Relaén, Uyama Hiroto and Yussef Kamaal Trio. The tempo picks up again for the last leg with house flavas from Paradise Forum, Alton Miller, Patrice Scott, Dan Kye aka Jordan Rakei, Jullian Gomes, Kevin Reynolds and Just One. Enjoy!

I've got the hip-hop heads covered with new De La Soul and Miles Davis & Robert Glasper feat. Phonte. There's r&b/soul from Melbourne's Silentjay X Jace XL and the UK's Aaron Taylor. Ending the show off with some dance-floor groovers courtesy of Lone, K15, Steve Spacek & Osunlade + some afro rhythms from The Kondi Band, The Jagger Botchway Group & Philou Louzolo. Soul Has No Tempo Radio 09 - 28th March 2016

First and foremost, R.I.P. Phife Dawg. This show wouldn't be complete without a tribute to my favourite MC from A Tribe Called Quest. There's a hot new r&b/soul record from BJ The Chicago Kid, a new cut from Robert Glasper's Miles Davis tribute album, plus new Kendrick Lamar feat. vocals from CeeLo over a Bossa nova groove. REMI's new single 'For Good' feat. Sampa the Great is in the mix, as well as The Hue w/ Chris Dave on drums and Kaytranada's new single w/ Karriem Riggins on drums. I play some well overdue, incredible music from NZ's Pacific Heights feat. Louis Baker and a cut from Matt Corby's incredible debut album, Telluric. Progressively picking the tempo up, the second half of the show travels through some new jazzy and percussive house grooves from Javonntte, Renato P, Byron The Aquarius, Trinidadian Deep, Lay-Far w/ MdCL on keys, a killer cover of Peven Everett's 'Stuck' by Daymé Arocena + much more!
